Introduction to Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology

Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology (AIR) is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine. This division deals with all kinds of acute or chronic arthritis, such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. We also take care of many allergic and autoimmune diseases such as asthma, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren”¦s syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis and vasculitis. We provide outpatient and inpatient service in Taipei county. Clinical pathology department provided good quality serology examination. There are two full-time visiting staffs, one part-time visiting staff and one nurse of subspecialty serving patients with allergic, autoimmune and rheumatic diseases.

 Our services:

Allergic diseases: allergic rhinitis, asthma, urticaria, atopic dermatitis
Immunologic diseases: systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren”¦s syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis/dermatomyositis, Behcet”¦s disease, vasculitis such as Wegener”¦s granulomatosus, Churg-Strauss disease et al.
Rheumatic diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis.
