About us
Our mission in Oncology and Hematology is to provide one of the best integrated cancer care programs in Taiwan. Being constituting the core of Comprehensive Cancer Center, our division of Oncology and Hematology exerts efforts together with Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology as well as Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Hospice Care to provide state-of-the-art cancer care. Our goal is providing balanced bridges between treatment, research and education under organized administrative system.
Our treatment includes:
1) Integrated Out-patient Clinics of Cancer: Well-cordinated cancer specialists from related sections providing efficient integrated services..
2) Cancer Chemotherapy Center: Providing chemotherapeutic as well as targeted therapies without hospitalization.
3) Oncology and Hematology Ward: in addition to our cancer specialists, all oncological registrated nurses, oncological nurse specialists, pharmacists, social workers and volunteers to carry out best cancer care services base on the concept of "Whole human" care.
In research, our clinical trials focus on complex strategic planning of treatment, designing with innovated effective compound chemotherapeutic prescription. We hope to taking the lead in introducing new anti-cancer medication to improve the effectiveness of treatment, reduce the side effects and ultimately to prolong the lives of our cancer patients.
In education, all our speicialists devote to self-learning on professional training as well as patient education for better self care. Through giving lectures to cancer patients and their families about all necessary knowlege for better cancer care. We also emphasize cancer prevention with healthy life styles.
Vision: Combining clinical specialists from all disciplines, to dedicate to the diverse integrities of cancer diagnosis, basic and clinical research, enriching the content of education and training, bringing together the all three aspects of treatment, research, and education.
