At Room G229,G230 & G231 of Out Patient Clinic Area

Admission Service

Each patient has one attending physician in charge. The patient admitted from out patient service was cared by his original doctor. The patient admitted from emergency service was cared by the doctor on duty

Abdominal ultrasonographic examination & intervention

Examined area: including liver, biliary system, spleen, pancreas, kidney, abdominal mass lesion & ascites
Ultrasonographic guided aspiration cytology, biopsy of liver & abdominal lesion
Ultrasonographic guided drainage of liver & abdominal abscess or cyst
Ultrasonographic guided ablation of hepatic tumor by alcohol injection or radiofrequency machine

Gastrointestinal endoscopic examination & intervention

• Esophagogastroduodenosopy
• Colonoscopy & Sigmoidoscopy
• Endoscopic hemostasis (upper & lower gastrointestinal tracts)
  heater probe, injectional therapy, hemoclip, Argon plasma coagulation, variceal ligation & sclerotherapy
• Endoscopy guided dilatation or stent insertion for stricture
• Endoscopic treatment for gastrointestinal polyps & tumors
  polypectomy, tumor ablation, tumor resection (EMR, ESD)
• Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM)
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
• Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography & pancreatography (ERCP)
• ERCP therapeutic intervention:
  endoscopic papillotomy, endoscopic stone removal, biliary catheter, stent insertion, and cholangioscopy

Treatment for viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV)

Anti-viral therapy: interferon therapy, direct-acting antiviral agents

HBV DNA & HCV RNA analysis & quantification

Carbon 13 breath test for Helicobacter pylori

24 hours esophageal pH monitor
